Kay Patrolia (they.them.theirs) is a twenty-something, tall, freckled artist from New England. They scheme up performance art pieces much like an over-the-top, frazzled inventor and will probably die early (happily) from oil paint fumes. Kay graduated with a B.A. in Studio Art from Oberlin College in 2025, following their April 2025 Senior Exhibition, “don’t be a stranger,” and the Oberlin Senior Studio Art Commencement show in May 2025.
Kay is ever curious in questions of perception, liminality, absurdity, and the ways in which we construct our identities in relation to others. They relish in the in-between, inviting viewers to experience their work in literal and non-literal ways. Their art often highlights and plays with their queer, trans, and neurodiverse identities.
They also love stars. ☆ And the color blue. And dogs.
